Fun, Fun, FUN!

It seems Pokerstars launched a Home Poker Game Online system, which sounds pretty cool imo! Hmm... You don't know what it is? Ah k... let's change that so we can have some fun together... ;)

So what is it and why do I think it sounds like fun?

- What: it allows you to create and manage your own private Poker Club where you play the games you choose, with just your friends, at the time you want.

- Sounds complex? Nah! It’s easy to create a club. First, select a club name and invitation code. Next, access your own exclusive poker lobby, which you can customize with private Home Game tables and tournaments of your choice.

-How can you add your friends to your home game? Just send them your club ID and invitation code, then the only thing you have to do is to accept them as members when they join your online Poker Club.

The last thing to do is to schedule some games and tournaments. You simply have to choose the game you want, as well as the stakes and then set the date for your online Home Game. The system will automatically send your fellow club members all the details they need.

-Which key features does your exclusive online Poker Club includes?
  • Club Management Tools
  • Club Leader Board
  • Player Statistics
  • Game Management Tools
  • Save Favorite Game Setups
  • Game Schedule
  • Game Results
  • Private Games
  • Custom Tables
  • Full Range of Poker Games
And the most awesome thing is... IT IS FREE! ;)

I will get into poker again soon, and will surely check it out! I was thinking about maybe creating a Home Game for Friendlypoker and maybe even a separate one where I can play with family only (then they don't have to feel bad if I stack them coz it will be only amongst family mwhahahah)....

One thing is for sure... it will be fun... fun... FUN! :p

You will need a Pokerstars account to try it out though. You can Click HERE to download it

For more info about the Home Games => click HERE.

For the Home game FAQ => click HERE.

Ok... I guess this is all the info you need... I'll see you at the tables! Good luck and have fun! ;)

Monster Shopping Spree!!!

Yesterday I noticed I gathered  + 3000 FPPs on Pokerstars, and decided to go and check what I can get for that via their online shop (http://www.pokerstars.com/vip/store/).

For people who don't have a clue about what I am talking about. FPP's are Frequent Player Points. The more you play, the more you get. If you get a certain amount of those, you can exchange them for all sorts of stuff at the Pokerstars shop.

So, I decided to go and check that store out....

I can tell you one thing! There were soooo much things I liked there, I kinda couldn't decide which item to take!

After yesterday's post about my shopping spree, I got a lot of requests about which items I liked so much so...

I'll show you!

My favorits:
3000 FPP
2000 FPP

3750 FPP

1400 FPP

19000 FPP

1000 FPP
1550 FPP
1500 FPP

2750 FPP
400 FPP

1550 FPP
1250 FPP

300 FPP
2750 FPP

1250 FPP

5000 FPP
Well... in the end I decided to play some more, and one day... I WILL GO ON A SHOPPING SPREE AND BUY EVERYTHING AT ONCE! Mwahahahah. Ok, maybe not. I would probably have to play 2NL for about 20yrs or so to get there, and then I will be way to old, ugly and fat to wear all those cool items....

Well... I guess I can make a top 3 or so and go for those :p.

Ok, it is decided! After World First (Cataclysm) I will go hardcore pokermode! :p

So, which are your favorite items out of the shop? Did you purchase any already?

Ladiesevent at BOPC

A few weeks ago me and Vanessa went to Namen. You are probably wondering why the heck we would go to Namen, right? Well from what I have seen (during the car ride, ahum). Namen is a very nice place to go and visit. Lots of green and the people are really nice there. Communication is a bit of a hassle since they mostly speak french there, and our french was euhm... a bit... rusty. But somehow we did manage to make ourselves understandable. Well, if primates can communicate without using any language, obviously some educated people can manage to figure something out, right?!

So, although it was a very nice place to go and visit, we kinda had some other plans. I got an invitation from Pokerstars (since Chiren couldn't go there to play) to play the ladiesevent at BOPC (Belgian Open Poker Championship), and Vanessa (friend of mine) was so nice to film and take pictures there so I could make a nice youtube clip out of it (as I promised to our Friendlypoker community).

You are probably wondering how it al went... right? Hmm, where do I start....
I slept about 2 or 3 hours so kinda experienced the start of the day in a bit of a woozy state. Nothing a nice meal couldn't fix though. So we did some omnomnom, and then we had a meetup with the person who would take us there. She was really nice. Now I come to think of it, I should maybe contact her again to have a nice chat again....

We arrived there somewhere around 1:00pm and that is when the fun started. The tourney started at 6:00pm so that gave us a lot of time to go and have fun with some people there, and that we did...ofc!

We started to talk to dealers, because obviously they are the ones who see evertyhing but never get to do the talking, and we also managed to talk to the cameraman of Pokerstars. You can see how that went in the video. I can tell you one thing, those guys rocked!

So we trolled some people, had a nice meal afterwards and then got to the poker workshop which was given by 2 Belgian Pokerstars Team Pros. It were the 2 brothers Matthias and Christophe De Meulder who gave the workshop. If you feel like checking them out some more, we managed to interview one of the brothers....

Then at 6:00pm it was time to pwn at poker! It is really weird to play live if you are used to playing online. I prefer playing cash games online, but playing a live tournament was also nice for a change. There were some things which were a lot different though f.e. online you have a good over view of your stack, the pot and the other players their stack. Live you have to keep an eye on that yourself. I guess you get used to stuff like that, but for me it was like OH NOZ and I ended up counting everything all the time lolz! I did like the social context a lot though. Online you don't have any connection with the other players (statistics are unpersonal imo), but live you can have a nice chat and it is a lot more fun to play poker imo.

Time for the 1 million dollar question now... Did I win?
Nopez! I lost 1010 against KK all in preflop. I didn't really get any good cards that evening and I only had 12 BB left so....ALL IN! I guess I cannot complain. Before I went all in with AQs against AJ and won that one so.... Although that girl I lost against, she got KK twice in a row! Poker is riiiiggggeeeddd! :p Just joking ofc!  I do read it a lot in the chat at 2NL though lolz! The people are hilarious there!

Conclusion: I had a lot of fun and I would do it again!

The name is TaniaSux on Pokerstars and I mostly play 10NL, although I am having a lot of fun lately at 2NL as well  :). If you are sitting at my table, don't be afraid to say "hi". I don't bite... well mostly I don't....

Having fun @ Pokerstars

Last week I decided to play some 2NL instead of 10NL, and to be honest I enjoyed it A LOT! I have been trying to nail down 10NL for a while now, and the only thing I managed to do there was getting breakeven. It did give me a lot more insight in poker though, so I do think the climb from 2NL to 10NL was very instructive.

So nowadays you will often find me back having fun at 2NL. The name is TaniaSux, so if you accidently sit at my table don't forget to say "hi" and to donate to the IsucksomuchatpokerIhadtogobackdownto2NL fonds. Thanks! :)

Since it seems I am not able to go to dreamland and there are none of these around with their magic dust...

I decided to tell you guys how I play 2Nl :).

So here we go...
-I limp with 22-88 unless I find myself in late position and nobody limped yet, then I raise.
-The higher pairs I raise (99+).
-I also raise KQs+ in early position.
-If I hit a set then I will bet, bet, bet (maybe even all in).
-You should watch out if there is a pair on the table when you didn't hit your set though. If someone bets really a lot on the river, it probably means that fucker has a fullhouse and slowplayed you :).
-If you are using Holdem Manager you can try to steal on the cutoff, dealer and small blind if the people after you have about 75+ fold vs steal percentage. If you don't have statistics, DON'T TRY TO STEAL!!! STEALING ON 2NL DOESN'T WORK!!! Well mostly it doesn't...
-If they 3 bet me preflop and I have AA or KK. I go all in. Sometimes even with AKs and with QQ (but this depends on the person I am up against).
-If there are 4 cards of the same suit on the table and you don't have A or K of that suit, just fold if the guy bets into you.

Ok well this is mainly what came to mind. I hope these tips will help some people out already....

Also remember: it takes time to get good at something. You cannot force it. We all had to learn how to walk before we could run, right?! Same with poker.

Good luck, have fun and cya at the tables!
